“Should I stay or should I go???”

... this question arises at some point during an academic career and often seems to come with even more question afterwards.

On this event, internationally experienced younger professors and postdocs at TU Clausthal invite you and share their mobility experiences. "Dos and don'ts" - why going, why not ? - concerns and how and why to overcome them... Here, inside-knowledge is shared and collegial exchange is possible and come with snacks and cold drinks.

This event offers young researchers at TU Clausthal more support in their career planning. At this networking event, researchers at different career stages (Profs. Wolfram, Melkonyan-Gottschalk and Gerolymatou, as well as Drs. Kvashin and Dutta) will present their experiences with international mobility. Individual and professional reasons to hesitate and obstacles will be addressed and, if possible, reduced and the benefits and joys of international mobility will be highlighted.

The evening will be a collegial exchange combined with short inputs about funding, for example through the Internationalization Pool and other IZC instruments as well as external programs. Larger funding programs (e.g., from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the DAAD, and others) will be presented, as well as individual smaller programs.

With snacks, cold drinks, and hopefully good weather, there will be an opportunity for personal exchange and networking within your peer group.
