Through our teaching consultation service, we offer our expertise in higher education pedagogy to address your specific questions. 

Examples of topics covered in a teaching consultation include:

• How can I encourage student engagement and long-term learning?
• What methods should I use to encourage students to participate?
• How do I encourage students to ask questions?
• How do I align course content with the exam format?
• How do I write an application for a teaching award?

In addition to, but also independent of, a teaching consultation, we can observe a course of your choice as part of a teaching observation. During a preliminary discussion or as part of the teaching consultation, you will clarify your goals and select the key areas for observation. We are also happy to provide feedback on your course planning.

The joint reflection following the observation session serves to analyze the course and focuses on specific teaching and learning situations within your class.

As another service to help you optimize your teaching, we offer to conduct a so-called Teaching Analysis Poll. This is a question-driven mid-semester evaluation of your course. For this, you provide us with half an hour of your course time around the midpoint of the semester, during which we engage in dialogue with the students to gather feedback on key questions regarding your course. We then discuss the results with you.
