In this hands-on training course you will get to know the electronic lab notebook (ELN) eLabFTW offered at Clausthal University of Technology.
After a short theoretical introduction to the topic of electronic lab notebooks you will learn the basics of the ELN in a practical way. Exercises will familiarize you with the ELN.
You are also welcome to bring your own experimental data (descriptions of substances and experimental procedures, observations, results) for the exercises, if available.
At the end of the course you will know
- how the electronic lab notebook eLabFTW is structured
- what roles and rights exist
- how secure your data is
- what advantages the ELN has over a paper lab notebook
- how your own work can be structured in the ELN
- how to import and export entries
The training will take place in the MC room of the University Library.
When registering, please indicate whether you will be bringing your own laptop.
