In this hands-on training session, you will learn about the electronic lab notebook (ELN) eLabFTW offered at Clausthal University of Technology.

Following a brief theoretical introduction to the topic of electronic lab notebooks, you will learn the basics of the ELN through practical exercises. These exercises will help you become familiar with using the ELN.
Feel free to bring your own experimental data (descriptions of substances and experimental procedures, observations, results) for the exercises, if available.

By the end of the training, you will know:

• how the eLabFTW electronic lab notebook is structured
• what roles and permissions exist
• how secure your data is
• what advantages the ELN has over a paper lab notebook
• how to organize your own work in the ELN
• how to import and export entries

The training session will take place in the MC Room at the University Library.
Please bring your own device (e.g., laptop) if possible.

When registering, please indicate whether you will be bringing your own device or would like to use a computer in the MC pool.
