The GEOThermie4All continuing education programme provides targeted preparation for the technical and structural requirements of a changing energy sector and opens up new career prospects. Participants acquire practical knowledge on the planning, implementation and communication of geothermal systems – from technical fundamentals and digital tools to application-oriented case studies.
Opportunities for employment arise in energy and utility companies, public administrations, municipal enterprises, and engineering and planning offices. There are also a wide range of opportunities in research and development, particularly in the further development of geothermal technologies and their integration into existing infrastructures.
GEOThermie4All supports skilled workers, career changers and those switching careers in gaining specific qualifications for the heat transition – in a flexible, well-founded and practical manner.
The GEOThermie4All micro-degree programme consists of four coordinated modules that impart practical expertise in key areas of geothermal energy supply. The focus is on the planning and operation of geothermal heating networks, the technical implementation of plants and the digitalisation of geothermal systems. A fourth module on science communication promotes the targeted transfer of knowledge in professional, social and educational contexts.
The content is spread over two semesters and combines online phases with compact face-to-face blocks – supported by case studies, simulations and interactive teaching formats.
Participants complete the programme with the recognised ‘Micro Degree in Geothermal Energy’ certificate from Clausthal University of Technology – proof of sound competence with high relevance for the energy industry and related professional fields.
