Zotero offers you an alternative to the paid reference management programs from other providers.

Zotero is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It can also be used as a web-based service, and there are apps for iOS and Android.

You can download the software at www.zotero.org/download/. Registration with Zotero is generally not required. However, a Zotero account is necessary to synchronize your data and files.

Since October 1, 2024, all members of the Clausthal University of Technology have had the option to use unlimited storage space on the Zotero servers. To do so, you simply need to either register with Zotero using your TU email address or add this address to your Zotero account at https://www.zotero.org/settings/account.
