Forum Clausthal - Science with Responsibility

The virtual roundtable is a new edition of the Forum Clausthal and seeks the exchange with the members, students and alumni of the university and with the interested public.

The current crises of our society, such as the climate crisis and the pandemic, as well as many other societal challenges give reason to reflect on the role of science in society. Within the framework of its research and teaching activities, Clausthal University of Technology takes up central challenges and would like to enter into a dialogue on this topic with its members and students, but also with voices from politics and society as well as the interested public.

With this series, we would like to raise awareness of the importance of the question of the role of science and enable and promote exchange between students, staff* and the interested public.

The next Forum Clausthal will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, 6 p.m. with Prof. Andreas Löschel, holder of the Chair of Environmental/Resource Economics and Sustainability at the Ruhr University Bochum since September 2021 and chairman of the expert commission for the monitoring process "Energy of the Future" of the German government.

Registrations are welcome via Email until 14/2/2022. The video conference link will be provided shortly before the event.

Organizers are the Presidential Board, the Graduate Academy, the Center for University Didactics and the Computing Center of the TU Clausthal.
