Teaching consultation and teaching hostpitation
Within the framework of a teaching consultation, we provide our expertise in higher education didactics for your specific questions. Questions addressed in a teaching consultation are, for example:
- How do I promote engagement and sustainable learning among students?
- What methods do I use to encourage students to participate?
- How do I motivate students to ask questions?
- How do I align course content and exam format?
- How do I write a proposal to apply for a teaching award?
In addition to, but also independent of, a teaching consultation, we can accompany a course selected by you within the framework of a teaching observation. In a preliminary discussion or in the course of the teaching consultation, you will clarify your concerns and select the focus of your observation. We will also be happy to give you feedback on your course planning. The joint reflection that follows the observation serves to analyse the course and focuses on concrete teaching and learning situations in your course.
As a further offer for the optimisation of your teaching, we offer you to carry out a so-called Teaching Analysis Poll. This is a question-led interim evaluation of your course. For this, you provide us with half an hour of your course after about half of the semester, in which we collect feedback on central questions regarding your course in dialogue with the students. We will then discuss the results with you.
